Endorsements are made based upon candidate's past voting records, answers to questionnaires, candidate interviews, support of collective bargaining, apprenticeship utilization, Project Labor and Community Workforce Agreements.
While multiple candidates in the crowded field have a history of supporting organized labor, both Tom Begich and Click Bishop are steadfast champions who will do right by IBEW 1547 membership. Tom Begich is a proud 35-year member of IBEW Local 1547. Click Bishop is a proud 51-year member of IUOE Local 302.
In the August 18 pick-1 primary, members are encouraged to vote for which of the two candidates best fits their values and vision for Alaska.
Both longtime union members have a plan to build our state, champion pro-labor policies, and make our state a better place for working men and women.
