Bill Egan Scholarship Applications

The 2024 Bill Egan Scholarship application packets are currently available at your unit offices. Each year, Local 1547 awards 16 – $1,000 scholarships, (six from Unit 101-Anchorage, four from Unit 102-Fairbanks, three from Unit 103-Juneau, and three from Unit 104-Ketchikan), for accredited schools and universities.

Members of IBEW Local 1547, with at least the four (4) past years of good standing and their legal dependents are considered eligible to apply. The completed application packets are due to your unit office by close of business March 29, 2024 to be considered for award. The Unit Committees will review the application packets at their April meeting and forward their recommendations to the Executive Board for their May meeting. Scholarships are awarded following the May Executive Board Meeting.
