Construction and Utility Properties

Classification requirements:

  • Wireman - Requires Certificate of Fitness, Journeyman Electrician from the State of Alaska prior to Dispatch. "Wireman Operator" is one who is skilled at operating backhoes, dozers, etc.
  • Lineman - Requires Certificate of Fitness, Journeyman Lineman from the State of Alaska prior to Dispatch.
  • Communications Technician (Includes Central Office/PBX, Cable Splicer, Telephone Lineman, and Installer Repairman) - May require interview with Communications representative prior to registration to determine appropriate registration classification.
  • Other Classifications - as described.

LC = Long call which is a job expected to last longer than two weeks.
SC = Short call which is a job which is no longer than two weeks.
Camp = A job that has either a camp facility paid for and provided by the Employer or per diem as determined by the Agreement.
